The annual dining affair transformed Levanto into a gathering place for Manila's culinary community, where world-class food met culture, design, and hospitality.

Standing true to its mission of capturing luxury living and culture, Lifestyle Asia presents the very first Crave, a physical extension of their online dining platform.

Held on the top floor of Levanto Building along Jupiter Street in Makati last June 23, the dinner gathered over 150 key figures in the food and beverage industry—from restaurateurs and chefs to cultural tastemakers—under one roof.

Welcoming them were savory pass-arounds and beverages from event partners The Macallan and Highland Park as well as Evian. Kerry Tinga, Lifestyle Asia’s Chief Of Editorial Content, kickstarted the program by sharing the vision behind the annual event.

“Food is, at its most basic level in the hierarchy of needs, survival. And yet, across centuries and cultures, we have transformed food into something much more. We prepare it, and we even share it. We set the table, and we set the mood,” she shared. “We have made food into ritual, into art.”

She adds, “Food has become one of the primary ways we express love, celebrate life, and find each other as we gather around a table and eat up precious, precious time. That is why Lifestyle Asia’s CRAVE celebrates everything that happens around a meal.”

After the welcoming remarks, they presented the brand’s Wine & Dine cover stars, a young couple putting fresh blood and energy into the local restaurant scene—Amado and Carmela Fores of AF Hospitality.

They then passed the mic to Levanto owner Donn Ang, who gave a few words about the space everyone was in. Levanto was built to be a hub for design, culture and hospitality and Crave was the perfect occasion to celebrate this.

After the presentation of the plaques to each of the participating restaurant for the dinner, guests were led to their respective seats—in one of the five establishments: Brontë, Hakka, Taglish, Tadhana, and Mireia.

Among the plates and drinks served were raw cocktail and Australian Côte de Boeuf Carrara Bone-In MB8-9 from Brontë; Hokkaido king crab sunomono salad and Patagonian tooth fish in nori dashi risotto from Hakka; scallop tart and crab pasta from Mireia; ginataan and inihaw at gulay from Tadhana; pugita and grilled salmon steak from Taglish; and rich and refreshing cocktails from Tasting Room.

Dinner transitioned into after-hours socials, which gave guests a chance to continue the festivities and conversations long into the night.

With this event, Lifestyle Asia Crave proved what it has set out to do—celebrate culture and community while showcasing exceptional food.
